Day 7 - Kafka, Cricket, and Confidence
Woke up early ish and completed my daily ritual.
Jumped on a call with friends, just catching up and brainstorming new ideas.
Had to update some flow diagrams for the final report and was finally done with it.
Started working on the project idea I came up with yesterday.
Made pretty good progress:
- Set up the entire producer service
- Got it working and publishing messages to Kafka on Confluent Cloud
- Used a good bit of reactive programming in the producer class
Thinking of writing a technical deep dive blog on this soon. Let’s see how it goes.
Next up: building the consumer. Planning to work on that tomorrow.
Went to cricket practice today, it had been a very long time.
Felt great to pad up and bat again. Played decently well.
Might even play a match this Sunday, let’s see how that goes.
Came home super tired. Crashed after dinner.
Overall, a productive and active day, I guess.
Feeling good. Obviously stressed as hell, but also feeling confident with some serious self-belief.
